THIS FIRST VERSION OF THE TARTARUS DATABASE CONTAINS SOME SEQUENCES WHICH PRODUCED WARNING MESSAGES, PUBLICATION OF THE RESULTS FROM THESE DATA PRODUCTS IS AT THE USERS OWN RISK. WE DO NOT ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY FOR ERRORS, ALTHOUGH EVERY EFFORT WILL BE MADE TO REFINE THE PROCESSING TO PRODUCE AND ERROR-FREE VERSION OF THE DATABASE IN ITS SECOND INCARNATION (FORTHCOMING).
We have chosen to release the database in its existing form because we consider timeliness to be important, especially with so many new missions on the horizon. Some mild errors such as missing fluxes from tabulated spectral fits are due to problems with fit minimization. In this case, users can retrieve the spectral products and fit the data with the most appropriate models.
Gifs at the bottom of the page show some indication of whether problems occurred during processing. One or two "thumbs down" at the bottom of the page indicate some possible errors in the data processing. Three thumbs down occur for fatal errors but all such sequences have been removed from the database for the time being.
