Here is a list of files in [sequence].tar.gz The [sequence]_spectral.tar.gz has only the spectral files. After gunzipping the tar file, unpackage using "tar xvf sequence.tar", for the following list: * Events files for each of the 4 instruments: ( [inst] = sis0 sis1 gis2 gis3 ) [sequence]_[inst].evt - raw event file [sequence]_[inst]_src.evt - src region event file [sequence]_[inst]_src_hard.evt - src region, hard-band [sequence]_[inst]_src_soft.evt - src region, soft-band (only sis0,sis1) [sequence]_[inst]_bgd.evt - bgd region event file [sequence]_[inst]_bgd_hard.evt - bgd region, hard-band [sequence]_[inst]_bgd_soft.evt - bgd region, soft-band (only sis0,sis1) * Extraction regions for each of the 4 instruments: ( [inst] = sis0 sis1 gis2 gis3 ) [sequence]_[inst]_src.reg - source extracting region [sequence]_[inst]_bgd.reg - background extracting region * Spectral file for each of the 4 instruments: ( [inst] = sis0 sis1 gis2 gis3 ) [sequence]_[inst]_src.pha - raw pha file from the source region [sequence]_[inst]_src_20.pha - pha file binned by 20 channels [sequence]_[inst]_bgd.pha - pha file from the background region [sequence]_[inst].arf - arf file [sequence]_[inst].rmf - rmf file [sequence]_webfit.xcm - xcm file of the spectral fit from the web page (for use in xspec) * Combined light curves for SIS and GIS: (light curves are averaged between the two instruments) ( [ins] = sis gis ) [sequence]_[ins]_src_16s.flc - src region, 16 sec bins, full-band [sequence]_[ins]_src_16s_hard.flc - src region, 16 sec bins, hard-band [sequence]_[ins]_src_16s_soft.flc - src region, 16 sec bins, soft-band (sis only) [sequence]_[ins]_src_256s.flc - src region, 256 sec bins, full-band [sequence]_[ins]_src_5760s.flc - src region, 5760 sec bins, full-band [sequence]_[ins]_src_5760s_hard.flc - src region, 5760 sec bins, hard-band [sequence]_[ins]_src_5760s_soft.flc - src region, 5760 sec bins, soft-band (sis only) [sequence]_[ins]_bgd_16s.flc - bgd region, 16 sec bins, full-band [sequence]_[ins]_bgd_16s_hard.flc - bgd region, 16 sec bins, hard-band [sequence]_[ins]_bgd_16s_soft.flc - bgd region, 16 sec bins, soft-band (sis only) [sequence]_[ins]_bgd_5760s.flc - bgd region, 5760 sec bins, full-band * Sky images: ( [ins] = sis gis ) [sequence]_[inst]_sky.img - fits sky image of the source (all 4 inst) [sequence]_sis_sky_sm.img - smoothed combined sky image (sis and gis) [sequence]_sis_sky_expcor.img - exp-corrected combined sky image (sis and gis) LEGEND: All the .evt, .img, .rmf, .arf, .pha, .flc files are in FITS format. The .reg, .xcm files are in ASCII format. The .evt files are events lists, .img are images, .pha are spectra, .flc are light curves, .rmf/.arf files are photon redistribution and ancilliary matrices for use in spectral fitting "src" means extracted from the source region, "bgd" from the background region, "sky" products are using sky coordinates, "hard/soft" are the energy bands (defined elsewhere on our pages), "16s/256s/5760s" are the time bins in seconds used in the light curves, "sis0/sis1/gis2/gis3" are the instrument designations, "sis/gis" mean the combined (summed or mean) of the two instruments of same type.
